WHEN SOMEONE ASKS FOR HELP

What will you help them do next?
People in conflict rarely need one more opinion. They need a patient guide who can listen carefully, apply God’s Word faithfully, and help them take wise steps toward reconciliation.

Coaching People to Reconcile equips you for that moment. You will learn a biblical coaching process, watch it demonstrated, practice it in realistic conversations, and receive feedback you can use immediately.

A PRACTICAL PATH FORWARD

Help people see conflict differently.

01

Listen beneath the conflict

Draw out the story with patience, curiosity, and care.

02

Engage the heart

Recognize patterns, desires, and the false hopes beneath reactions.

03

Apply the Gospel

Guide repentance and proclaim Christ’s forgiveness with clarity.

04

Prepare for reconciliation

Help someone confess, forgive, restore, and take a faithful next step.

A PRACTICAL PATH FORWARD

Practice the conversation,
not merely the concept.

Every part of the course moves you from understanding to confident application.

One integrated skill.

The course develops both your coaching skill and your own life as a reconciler.

01    Personal peacemaking and the role of the coach

+

Establish the coach’s role, cultivate a reconciler’s mindset, and learn how personal peacemaking shapes the help you offer.

02    Apply Scripture, uncover idols, guide repentance

+

Listen for heart themes, ask revealing questions, and help a person receive biblical truth without reducing coaching to advice giving.

03    Receive and proclaim God’s forgiveness

+

Guide confession before God and share the assurance of Christ’s forgiveness with care, confidence, and theological clarity.

04    Reconcile with others and coach through homework

+

Prepare people to confess, forgive, restore, and pursue the other person with thoughtful, concrete preparation.

Questions

Before you begin

Do I need previous reconciliation training?

+

The practicum builds on personal peacemaking principles available in Conflict Resolution vs. Reconciliation. It is strongly recommended you complete that course first, before attempting to complete this practicum.

How much time should I plan?

+

Roughly 10 hours of teaching and demonstration videos in the course. Then it is reasonable to plan an additional 6-8 hours for practice role plays. You can work at your own pace. Each lesson combines teaching, reflection, and skills practice, so completion time will vary by learner.

Can I repeat a roleplay?

+

Yes. Repeating practice is one of the strongest features of the course. A new attempt lets you test another approach and receive new feedback.

Is there still an instructor connection?

+

Yes. Live practicum office hours provide recurring opportunities to ask questions and learn alongside other reconcilers.

What technology do I need?

+

A modern browser, stable internet connection, microphone, and speakers or headphones are recommended for the interactive practice.

A FAITHFUL NEXT STEP

Help people move toward reconciliation.

Learn the process. Practice the conversation. Grow into the coach others need.
