When conflict becomes too tangled
Who can help people stay at the table?
When people can no longer navigate conflict alone, a trained mediator can create the structure, safety, and momentum needed for honest reconciliation.
Mediating People to Reconcile prepares you to coach each party, lead a joint meeting, use private meetings wisely, address relational and material issues, and guide the parties toward a complete RESTORE agreement.

Questions
Before you begin
Is previous training required?
+
Yes. This practicum builds on Coaching People to Reconcile or equivalent foundational conflict-coaching preparation.
How much time should I allow?
+
Roughly 10 hours of teaching and demonstration videos in the course. Then it is reasonable to plan an additional 10-12 hours for practice role plays. Plan at least four hours for each integrated mediation case. Some students complete a case sooner and others take longer.
Can I repeat the mediation cases?
+
Yes. Repeating a case creates a fresh attempt and new feedback after the prior case package has been evaluated.
Do the parties remember earlier meetings?
+
Yes. Coaching appointments build cumulatively within the same case and carry into the joint mediation and private meetings.
When is evaluation available?
+
Whole-case evaluation becomes available after coaching, joint mediation, private meetings when used, and the RESTORE agreement are complete.
