Are you a professional ministry worker? Do you serve on a board or committee that oversees a professional ministry worker? Are you a reconciler or denominational leader who may be called upon to reconcile relationships after an employment dispute? Read on!
In our service at Ambassadors of Reconciliation, we're often called to serve as a result of issues between employer and employee. Sometimes, after personnel actions have been taken, the resulting fallout erupts into significant group conflict between those who agree with the actions and those who do not. When serving Christian ministries in these matters, we have found over and again the predominate approach used to respond to employment issues are derived from secular practices. While solid personnel policies and procedures are crucial, the very nature of Christian ministry requires biblical practices that ought to be included in our human resource policies but are too often overlooked. After years of serving in the wake of employment disputes, Ted Kober, Founder and Senior Ambassador at Ambassadors of Reconciliation recently authored three articles on these topics:
These are all available for free download at our website, so I encourage you to take a look. Whether you are a ministry worker or supervisor, or if you are a potential reconciler for ministry personnel issues, you'll find that Ted packs a lot of valuable insight into these articles.
The end of each article features a section of practical application for each topic. Ambassadors of Reconciliation offers a full line of resources, seminars, training and consultation to equip God's people for the essential vocation of Spiritual Leadership. If we may serve you, we will be delighted to do so. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
The Lord bless you and keep you in this new year.
In Christ,
Dwight
