Keeping a close watch on yourself is the most important, although both are necessary. This is because your actions need to mirror the message you teach. As the Apostle Paul said "follow me as I follow Christ".

The way in which we talk should be inspired by the Spirit and seasoned with grace as the Apostle Paul exhorts. Our lives should encourage others to live by faith. Tithing is a good example of living by faith. Being pure, that is, not defiled by the things of the world. Not getting drunk, especially with church members, would be an example.

Honestly, I think Stavanger is doing pretty well in this area. We typically open in prayer, do an opening devotion, do a study time (around 30 minutes), and close in prayer.

This is strikingly similar to what we use at Stavanger.
