1.Commit to regularly attending Bible study.
2.Commit to personal daily devotions.
5.(If not the chairperson) Commit to preparing any reports for my board and sending them to the chairperson at the time requested.
1.Commit at least 30 minutes per meeting for studying the Word together as a board.
3.Commit to praying for our pastor(s) in his(their) presence during board meetings.
4.Commit to reviewing all reports between meetings so that our time together can be better spent discussing and making decisions.
PLUS: I really liked writing a card to those who are prayed for during our session meeting. Meeting with church members to pray for them, read scripture and a devotion is ground breaking for our church. We have been struggling with make connections and re-working session meetings and being intentional to pray specifically for our pastor and family.

Light in a messenger's eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones Proverbs 15:30 Gracious Lord, During this past year, there have been many times joy was furthest from our minds. There is so much conflict, disease and destruction. Please cover me with your loving arms, surround me with people with positive attitudes and the light of the gospel shining through them.. Please help me lift up others with the joy and happiness of your word, your love and hope. Lord, give me the joy I need to live my life. Thank you for being eternally faithful to me. Provoke in me ways to increase my faith and joy. What do I need to do to keep my focus on Jesus, serve others and bring joy to my life and lives of others?
